A new blog, already?

Okay, so one of my friends at work has threatened to burn me alive if I continue to use blogger. So, with that enticement, I've decided to move our family blog to a wordpress site hosted by Jim's new company. So, from now on, we'll be posting at blog.maestri.org. So... Please re-tune your browsers to the new channel. We'll be ignoring you on this one. That's right, we'll be ignoring you, but we still love you.

Chubba

So, anybody who knows Ellie knows that she loves babies. She loves to be the mommy. She has several baby dolls that she will carry around with her all over the house. She puts them to bed in whatever she finds that, to her, resembles a crib; she takes them to her bed; and she changes their dipers. Ellie loves, Loves, LOVES babies! Well... Last week, she was very tenderly and lovingly carrying around a volleyball. This ball is as big as her head, so it was kind of funny to see her carrying the ball around and petting it. When Jennie asked her what the ball was she told her: "Baby. My Chubba." Can't you just see her fat little cheeks jiggle as she says so definitively, in her deep little voice: "My Chubba"? She's so funny, I just love her. That night, she told me all about her baby "Chubba", and throughout the weekend, she's talked about him several times. She's such a trip. Perhaps I'll get a better picture of her and Chubba one of these days. We tried yesterday. She wandered all over the house looking for him. She found a beach ball which she adopted, but it wasn't the original chubba, so I didn't include it here.

Well, we've finally surrendered. I guess if everyone else is doing it...
Honestly, though, since I am such an astonishingly bad correspondent, maybe blogging will be a better way to let you all in on the excitement(?!) of our daily lives. Our kids are awfully cute (if I do say so myself) and we'd love for you to get a little taste of what life is like at our house.
